Thursday Thoughts

1. My latest favorite: grapefruit. No sugar necessary...I always follow-up with plenty of that in other things.
2. We are all loving the warm weather. Wish every March in MN had 70's. The boys ran around with neighbors for 2 hours after school yesterday.
3. Nothing on the calendar tonight! So exciting.
4. I'm seeing the dr. every-other week. I usually try and schedule the appts. while Alex is at preschool. Unfortunately tomorrow's appt. he will be joining me. Can't wait to explain to him why I will be writing my name on a cup and then leaving urine in it. Simple answers do not appease him.
5. Signed papers on the build of the new house. So exciting. Trying not to think about the other part: what to do with the current home...that's a little stressful.
6. We had about 10 days of a fever/virus running through various members of the house. Spencer and I have been spared so far!
7. Ben and Spencer are camping tomorrow night for 11 yr old scouts. They will have a great time...even if it is wet and soggy!
8. I now wake up every 1.5 hrs in the night. Yep...it's fabulous. My ribs hurt so the dull pain wakes me up too often. There is no comfortable position. I go to the bathroom, try to readjust pillows and then sleep for another hour or two. It's been hard...but I'm trying to remember that this is good preparation for getting up with two babies in the night!
9. Stacey had Alex over to play today. He was thrilled to go and I was so grateful.
10. Went to get McDonalds sundaes for dessert tonight. Ben commented I looked homeless in my pajamas and t-shirt.

Skiing

Spencer had the opportunity to go skiing with a group from school in December and he loved every minute of it! He went again with a friend in February. Ben took him one last time and also took Sam along. Apparently Sam wasn't a 'natural' but endured it pretty well and wants to go again. They were sooo sunburned!

??? and ???

We are constantly asked what we are naming the girls. If it were up to me...the decision could have been made. Apparently Ben isn't in as big of a hurry. The boys and I love to talk about what to name the babies. Ben...not so much. I'm not sure if he just prefers to mole it over in his own mind without any pressuring input from the rest of us or if he is just trying to drive me crazy! Regardless...the other night the boys and I decided to have a drawing. We got Ben to admit to three names he likes and I put in three of my favorite names. We honored Ben by letting him do the drawing. First two names that came out of the bucket were my favorites! It really was hilarious. I told him it was fate. ;) It couldn't have been better if I had rigged the whole thing!

Speaking Chinese

Alex and I passed an oriental couple in the isle of the store today. Alex asked if they were speaking Chinese. I said 'yes, I think so'. He then said "Oh...I'm so glad I don't speak Chinese because then I wouldn't understand a word I'm saying." Totally made me laugh out loud...

The Suprise Package

It's very rare I get a package that I'm not expecting...but the other day I came home to a box waiting by the front door. I was trying to remember what I had ordered that might be arriving (it was too big for the piano music or maternity garments I had recently ordered). So Alex and I started to open the best girly surprise ever!!! Emily had sent a package for the babies. And some of the cutest clothes! I couldn't even put them away...I left them on the table for a few days so I could drool every time I looked at them. Totally unexpected and sooo fun to receive!
